Most meaningful oyster: Anything from Tomales Bay, CA — the oysters I grew up slurping as a kid in Northern California!
Favorite oyster to shuck: Pearl Point (Netarts Bay, OR) or Kumamoto (Yaquina Bay, OR)
Proudest oyster accomplishments to date: As a post-grad Aquaculture Marine Debris fellow with Oregon Sea Grant, I worked alongside oyster farmers to remove 9.3 tons of aquaculture-related debris and produced a short documentary about it.
Favorite thing about being an OMG member: Connecting with people from hospitality & industry from other regions! My day-to-day is spent working with Oregon-based oyster farmers, coastal advocates, and other scientists, so it’s been exciting to learn about how others encounter oysters in their work. I look forward to sharing a table with other OMG members in the future!
